Further investments in the outdated checkout system, which had already been discontinued by the manufacturer and was also no longer being further developed, were no longer economically justifiable. A new one was needed. But which one? The company Getränkewelt GmbH from Chemnitz did not make this decision easily. On the one hand, the new cash register system had to be able to fulfil many requirements, but at the same time it had to be as user-friendly as possible in order to function quickly and smoothly in the more than 80 branches.
